Pet Policy

Island Express Ferry Service is pet-friendly, and we would like your furbabies to also have a great time visiting Cape Lookout National Seashore. To keep your pets safe, and law-abiding, they must be on a leash no longer than 6′ in length at all times, while on the ferry, and while on Cape Lookout and/or Shackleford Banks.

For the safety of your pets and the horses of Shackleford Banks, people and pets must keep at least 50′ from the horses at all times. If a horse approaches you, please back up. You are their guests and the horses have the right of way. While they are used to having people and pets in their habitat, they are wild horses and, therefore, unpredictable.

Pets are $7.00 each.
