Quick Details
Step aboard the adventure of a lifetime with our upcoming Cape Lookout Lighthouse Starlight Cruise. Departing from the Harkers Island Visitor Center at 1800 Island Road, Harker’s Island, join a park ranger for a guided tour of the night sky at the only International Dark Sky Park on eastern seaboard.
Our ferry will bring to Cape Lookout National Seashore. There, you’ll disembark for an extraordinary laser tour of the cosmos, while sitting near Cape Lookout Lighthouse. The program takes place near the boardwalk. However, there is not established seating area. Visitors are strongly encouraged to bring chairs and/or blankets to sit on. We suggest packing bug spray, water, and any other essentials you may need while being on the barrier island.
But the magic doesn’t end there. Back at the Visitor Center on the mainland, our partners at Crystal Coast Stargazers will set up telescopes for public stargazing, offering you the chance to delve even deeper into the wonders of the universe.
For your comfort and enjoyment, we recommend brining a jacket to keep warm under the canopy of stars.
This unforgettable experience is available exclusively by reservation, spots sell out fast! Secure your place today for a stellar adventure you’ll treasure forever!
