Island Express Ferry Service promotes environmental educational programs to the park visitors and groups by offering learning experiences and printed information.

We access the environmental impacts of products we introduce to the Park.

We establish environmental objectives according to the nature and scale of our operations.

We determine the effectiveness of our environmental management system on an annual basis and communicate with our employees and the National Park Service about our findings. We promote the principles of "Leave No Trace". Plan ahead and prepare, travel and camp on durable surfaces, dispose of waste properly, leave what you find, minimize campfire impacts, respect wildlife, and be considerate of other Park visitors. The entire IEFS staff is constantly looking for ways to lessen our impact on the natural resorces of the Park.

We are the ONLY ferry service authorized to drop off at Cape Lookout and Shackleford Banks!

We will be sailing      1/19-1/21. 

Due to the Government shutdown, there are no restroom facilities at the Harkers Island location.

Please note our revised Winter Schedule from 12/1/18 - 2/28/19.  We will be sailing weekends only except for 1/21 and 2/14 - 2/28 at which times we will be sailing daily. Departures are at 9am, 11am & 1pm from Beaufort & Harkers Island. Return pick-ups are at 11:30am, 1:30pm & 3:30pm
